CREDIT TRANFER SERVICES

Most American universities offer a 120 credit BA program (that is, 40 courses each of which is worth 3 credits). A 40 course BA will therefore take four years to complete.

Master’s programs are based 36 credit hours (that is, 12 courses at 3 credits per course). These programs usually take two years to complete.

Before you begin any academic program, it will be necessary to determine how many transfer credits can be granted to you for courses and programs taken elsewhere. The more credits you get, the fewer credits you'll have left to take. Most universities charge between $25 to $50 for waiving prior learning requirements. In many cases, however, such transfers can be arranged through PhD Institute free of charge.

Furthermore, it’s difficult to achieve the maximum credits allowed when you apply anonymously as an individual. Allowing PhD Institute to represent you before the various university bureaucracies can save you big in both time and money.

Why is this so? University evaluations are done on a course by course basis. The process is long and complicated. It usually involves wrting aseries of papers in which you as the candidate must justify your request and the results are often disappointing.

PhD Institute's evaluation, on the other hand, is holistic. It looks at the total picture rather than individual courses. You'll get the maximum transfer credits you deserve in a minimal amount of time.

With PhD Institute's help, you'll usually complete the credit transfer process within a week. You can then register, get your student ID, and get started on your degree program more quickly.
